about barren & loving it.

what this is (and what it’s not)

this blog isn’t a safe space for polite nods or lukewarm sympathies. it’s a place where the childfree by choice get to be loud, proud, and unfiltered. if you’re tired of feeling like an outcast for saying no to motherhood, or you just want to see real talk about being childfree, you’re in the right place.

no sugarcoating. no apologies. just stories and truths that make you go, “finally, someone said it.”

why childfree? my story

i’m Meg – a filipina who never felt the maternal instinct to be someone’s mom. i’ve had the “when will you get married?” and “when are you having kids?” pressure drilled into me like a broken record since my twenties.

i even tried to follow the script once — just to realize it wasn’t my story.

i’m childfree by choice, and yes, it’s a decision i own, no regrets attached.

being childfree doesn’t mean i’m cold or incomplete. it means i choose where and how i give my love — to rescued animals, my passions, my friends, and my freedom.

i’ve met amazing moms and respect the hell out of them, but their journey isn’t mine. and that’s okay.

breaking the silence on taboo topics

in the Philippines, talking openly about choosing to be childfree is like breaking a sacred taboo. people whisper, judge, and expect you to “change your mind.”

i started my podcast, Say No More, to say the things no one else dares. from the pressure filipino women face about motherhood to toxic relationships and family drama, we rip off the bandaids and talk about it raw.

if you’ve ever lurked on childfree reddit or wondered how childfree women worldwide are living their truth, this podcast is for you.
because silence only feeds stigma.

this is for you if…

  • you’re childfree by choice and sick of explaining yourself
  • you’re curious about the childfree lifestyle but don’t know where to start
  • you hang out in childfree reddit threads or other communities searching for real talk
  • you want a space that calls out bullshit, celebrates freedom, and shares stories without the typical “mommy wars” drama
  • you’re a childfree woman who wants to know she’s not alone

community & connection

childfree life isn’t always easy, especially when everyone around you seems to have a checklist for your life. that’s why this blog features voices from childfree folks from all walks of life.

the childfree stories section shares diverse, honest experiences – no filters, no pity parties, just truth. it’s a place to see yourself, relate, and maybe even laugh at the absurdity of it all.

why i do this

because being childfree doesn’t mean being invisible. it means demanding space, respect, and the right to live life on your own terms.

barren & loving it is my way of shouting back at the noise – because you deserve to hear and say loud and clear: i’m childfree by choice, and i’m thriving.
